Codenames EN is the refreshed English edition of the award-winning word association game from Czech Games Edition. Two rival teams compete to identify all of their secret agents before the opposing team does. Each team's spymaster knows the correct identities and gives clever one-word clues that connect multiple codenames at once. The updated edition keeps the familiar gameplay while adding a revised word list, refreshed artwork and improved components. Even during game nights in Amsterdam, Codenames remains one of the most popular party games for groups.

Spelregels

Players divide into two teams, each with one spymaster. A grid of 25 codenames is placed on the table while the spymasters secretly study a key card showing the locations of their agents. During each turn, a spymaster gives a single-word clue followed by a number to indicate how many words relate to that clue. Teammates try to identify the correct agents without selecting innocent bystanders, opposing agents or the deadly assassin. The first team to reveal all of its agents wins the game.
